A classic commercial for Simon Pure beer, starring Buster Keaton. My source said 1958, but it seems this is actually from the early 1960s.

This zine collects two excellent essays by Lawrence Jarach: "Leftism 101" from Back to Basics: The Problem of the Left put out by the Green Anarchy collective and "Anarchists, Don't let the Left(overs) Ruin your Appetite" from Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed #48. The first essay looks at the origins of Leftist thought and anarchism's relationship to it. The second essay provides a brief overview of anarchists' historical relationship with "the Left," concluding...

The very first time readers got their hands ink-stained with the pages of Maximum Rocknroll, it was through the zine insert for the now-classic Cali punk/HC compilation Not So Quiet on the Western Front. Right from the beginning, MRR wanted to have its hands in everything DIY punk: zines, records, radio, show spaces, politics, and more. That locals-only double LP was released by then-MRR Radio collaborator Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles, and served as ground zero for both Maximum...

There was some kind of ban on Nomeansno that went back to Tim's fight with Jello. Nomeansno were on Alternative Tentacles which was Jello's label so as a consequence MRR has never doen an interview with the band. And Nomeasno have done loads so it seems weird. This interview isn't an in depth one but it does capture the band at a period of time. the interview was done in Chicago at the Fireside Bowl and appeared in the April 2001 edition of MRR (#215). This issue of the zine is still available...

How's that for a title? Lawyer Raymond Burr (seeming very much like Perry Mason) brilliantly defends Angela Lansbury, who seems certain to be found guilty of murdering her husband, who was Burr's best friend! Instead of spoiling it for you, I'll just say that a couple of surprises lie ahead for him. It's a wonder this film was allowed to become p.d. Don't miss it. Also appearing are Dick Foran, John Dehner, Lamont Johnson, and Denver Pyle. You can load the mpeg2 file into DVDAuthorGUI (a...

This zine is a good, basic introduction to patriarchy and sexism and the role of men in perpetuating it. It works well as a means of starting conversations about the role of men in perpetuating and fighting patriarchy. There are definitions and exploration of patriarchy, reflections on men's anti-sexist discussion groups, reflections and discussion on the concept of masculinity, immediate step men can take to change, and a list of suggested readings.

In swinging 1960s London, 16-year-old high school student Lola (Susan George) does more than simply read the erotic literature penned by 39-year-old American Scott Wardman (Charles Bronson). She tracks down the author and playfully seduces him, to the great consternation of her parents (Paul Ford, K ay Medford) once they learn of the relationship. The unlikely lovebirds eventually get married and wend their way to New York City, but their relationship grows increasingly tenuous.

Sub-titled âAnarchist organization, the Islamic State, the crisis, and outer spaceâ, this zine is a strong attempt to think through the many challenges that are facing anarchists in the present moment. As the world crumbles at an increasing pace, anarchists seem to be struggling to engage on this terrain, often succumbing to either a kind of self-isolating defeatist position or a vague populist position, neither of which are spreading anarchist practices. The zine tries to dissect the reasons...
